Energie Ad Preview

A video of the photo shoot was leaked several months ago, and the Energie website has been featuring Jonathan's silhouette...but now the first photo of the new ad campaign has been released:Can't wait to see the rest! Hurry up Energie! The website says "January 2009," so hopefully we only have a few more weeks to wait.

Amy Winehouse has been offered a role as a music teacher in a Dangerous Minds-type movie.

Jonathan is being suggested as her co-star! No more details are available yet - but I'll be on the lookout for updates.

Although Jonathan didn't win the award (it went to fellow Irishman Gabriel Byrne for In Treatment), he looked great in his Hugo Boss tuxedo!

Be sure to watch the Golden Globes Sunday

Herald.ie has confirmed that Jonathan will arrive in L.A. on Friday and attend the Golden Globes.

He will also join fellow Golden Globe nominees Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleason in L.A. on February 19 as they are presented with the Oscar Wilde award from the US-Ireland Alliance.

IFTA Nominations Announced

Jonathan is once again nominated for an Irish Film & Television Award for Actor in a Lead Role in the Television category!! Nominations were announced today. He won the 2008 IFTA award in that category.

The Tudors is also nominated in the following categories:

Drama Series / Soap
Director Television - Ciaran Donnelly
Actor in a Supporting Role – Television - Peter O'Toole
Actress in a Supporting Role – Television - Maria Doyle Kennedy
Costume Design - Joan Bergin
Make Up & Hair - Sharon Doyle & Dee Corcoran
Production Design - Tom Conroy


A Film With Me In It, in which Jonathan has a cameo, is also nominated for 6 awards including Best Film.

The awards will be given out in Dublin on February 14.
